I had the honor of collaborating with a very talented India based artist (SlowDrive) on this song. Within the week it was sent to me, the concept became clear; the lyrics would acknowledge the roller coaster ride of 2020, but ultimately about moving forward with hope in 2021. "Next Year" encapsulates the raw emotion that has been 2020; fear, confusion, anger, and doubt.
